Will Vettel Extend His Lead Over Hamilton? 2017 Hungarian Grand Prix

Hungary F1 GP Sebastian Vettel

Vettel Vs Hamilton

The 2017 Formula One Championship is certainly heating up with just one point between Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton as they go into the 2017 Hungarian Grand Prix. Vettel left qualifying in pole position with Hamilton left all the way back in fourth with Hamilton himself acknowledging that it will be hard to catch Vettel with such little room to overtake at the Hungarian Circuit. Hamilton has described the race as being a "Breeze" for Ferrari as they line up on the grid in first and second position.

Despite Ferrari's dominance in the race with the first and second positions they will be closely followed by the two Mercedes of Bottas and Hamilton both will be looking to cause an upset to Ferrari's party. If things finish as they started with Vettel in pole position and Hamilton in fourth Vettel will extend his lead to 14 points which will give the leader a good lead going into the Belgian Grand Prix. Hamilton will also have to look out for his team mate Bottas who will be snapping at his heels if he retains his third place or even improves on it.

As far as the Constructors Championship goes Mercedes once again have a dominant lead at the top of the championship with 330 points to Ferrari's mere 275 points although a Ferrari 1st and 2nd in Hungary would help to close that gap.
